This area has the most memorable views of the rhyolite mountains that are easy to spot when visiting Landmannalaugar, located in the Fjallabak Nature Reserve. The shades of yellow, green, and blue found on these mountains are a result of lava, rich minerals, and moss. You will find powerful waterfalls, lakes, and rivers along your way to this national gem hidden in the highlands.

You've all heard the term, "in Iceland, just wait 5 minutes and the weather changes". This is absolutely true, so please come prepared in layers. To find the bus stop where you will be picked up for your tour, please ask at your hotel reception for directions if you need to walk to the nearest bus stop. Please be at your pick-up location 5-10 minutes before the tour departure time. Pick-up can take up to 30 minutes, so our driver may be there up to 30 minutes after the tour start time. You must provide us with a pick up location at least 24 hours in advance of your tour, if you do not, there is no guarantee we will be able to pick you up for your tour. If you miss the tour due to not having a pick up location selected, or if you are not at the pick up location on time, we will not refund your ticket.
